Fact: You Can't Please Everyone!!!

Image
You Can’t Please Everyone It’s impossible to live up to everyone’s expectations. There will always be people — no matter what we say or how we treat them — that will judge us. Whether you’re at the gym, at work, taking the train, or even online playing Call of Duty. Even now it‘s happening.  You will never be able to stop people from judging you, but you can stop it from affecting you.  Think about the worst thing that could possibly happen when someone is judging you or what you’re doing. I guarantee that chances are —  nothing will happen. Absolutely nothing. No one is going to go out of their busy lives to confront us, or even react for that matter. Because as I mentioned before,  no one actually cares. What will happen, is that these people will actually respect you for claiming your ground. They may disagree with you, but they’ll respect you. Start standing up for what you believe in — causes, opinions,  anything . You’re going to have people that disagree with ...

Mama Lo Knows

Image
This quote by Charlize Theron says it best. I never wished to be a single mom, but that is what I have been for 21 years and I have to say, it was the best years of my life. My mother got divorced from my father when I was 9 years old and she became a single mom. Having her as an example was the best lesson I could draw from to be the best mom to my boys to this day. It made me want to be better and sacrifice what I needed to, to give my sons the best time and life I could,  so that I could see them thrive better than I did in these conditions. This was my time to prove that not only I could do that, but love in a selfless place and put others needs before my own and grow me to the woman I am today. I am currently able to inspire a generation that would at least want to look at my example and feel that despite the dreams I have had as a little girl, the dream to give my boys what I didn't have manifested because giving to them was like giving to myself and it did pay off. I hav...

Wake Up and Live Today

Image
Don't wait till a new year to begin making those changes you want to do. Those changes should be today. Each day we should wake up and simply want to live in each moment that is given.  What baffles my mind is how people can think that they have all of the time in the world to begin what it is they keep putting off,  but what if you were just given today or next week. What would you do? A DJ friend of mine and to many others got into a horrific car accident and I am sure he did not plan to spend his whole holiday fighting for his life to stay alive. His life changed in that instant and so did his families. Even God states in Ecclesiates 9:11 "Time and unforseen occurrences befall us all." How about each day is a new day and a new beginning. If you have dreams to whatever you want to be in life, live that dream today.  I had a series of ups and downs and felt my life in an unbalanced shuffle of sorts. I didn't wait till a new year to make a change, I vowed to ta...

Kick Doubt to the Curb

Image
"Our heavenly Father understands our disappointment, suffering, pain, fear, and doubt. He is always there to encourage our hearts and help us understand that He's sufficient for all of our needs. When I accepted this as an absolute truth in my life, I found that my worrying stopped." Charles Stanley Doubt can rob you of your dreams, of becoming more educated, and of future growth and development. It paralyzes you and prevents action, courage and bravery... all key elements to becoming a champion in life and business. It can cause you to create opinions and beliefs without even pursuing the doubt, or worse, without educating yourself on the thing you doubt. Call to Action: When you doubt something or yourself, ask questions about the subject, learn about it, educate yourself, ask for help from someone you trust or admire, etc... there are many ways you can PURSUE YOUR DOUBTS. Don't sit on the sidelines like everyone else when a doubt arises. You owe it to yourself and ...
