Lo's Thought of the Day

Image
Above is a list of 10 things worth taking with you when you die. Your character is all you leave this world with so make it a good one. Some will be mad that you are becoming what they wish they were or know damn well they need to be, so keep doing you and being the constant example God has you there to be for them. You can't please everybody because they are growing in their own pace. Be kind anyway and be patient. Pray for the good in others. It's really what they truly need.

Feeling Inspired

It's been a long time since I have had the real urge to write, but I knew one day, that it would arrive and it sure has. I do write a lot of my inspirational posts on Facebook and Instagram, but now it's time I use this website for all that it is required to do, inform those that want to read more about what I have to say, what drives me, and how all of this experience and wisdom that I have acquired can benefit you now. Currently, I have pushed off my regular show to work on my first art exhibition which is coming up in April, but have been proud of the success of the continuation of the show in what we created with the DJ Mix of the Week. When the talk show resumes, this will continue to air, so don't you worry. Lolo Knows Radio Show has some exciting new shows in the works coming up mid April including the Ultra Music Festival Wrap Up show. May is music month for Movement in Detroit. Interviews are being scheduled for this amazing event I look forward to experiencing wit...

New Year, Better Me!!

Image
These are the 5 daily reminders I have done in 2015 and will continue to remind myself in 2016. What a year I had, spiritually, emotionally, physically and professionally. 2015 began shakey with my mother's diagnoses to cancer and my son totaling our only car in which he should have been either hurt or dead, but wasn't. I could have seen that beginning as hell freezing over and it sure could have carried off and over and fucked up the rest of my year, but I knew better. This wasn't my first rodeo because I knew when there is rain and clouds, sunshine and rainbows are soon to follow. My prayer to God when I was in California back in February with that short time with the priest gave me the strength, courage and faith I needed to get past all the pain that I was enduring and to know that without a shadow of a doubt that I had the most amazing gift through a sign that was soon to follow. That was all I needed to feel in my heart and soul. Daily, I reminded myself of who I am a...

Soulmate and How You Can Tell

Image
How do I know I am with my soulmate? It was such a delayed feeling. I've never been in love like this. I don't think any of us really know what it is until we have it.       I will say this now that I know after eight months of dating and now being engaged to this man and looking back at the first time he made his move to be with me. It felt like riding a bike. Even though I have not rode a bike in years, I am sure it will just come right back to me. It feels just like that, a familiar ride, a familiar feeling. You just know. I never felt uncomfortable at any one time on our first date, I didn't question, he just flowed with me like I knew him forever, and I just felt like myself. I wasn't my representative; I was just me naturally. Our souls were at one and recognized each other by it. It felt magnetic, soulful and like this man had been my best friend forever in which he absolutely is. I asked, I believed, and received the ultimate gift the univ...

Take Time to Reflect

Image
This has been quite a time for me in reflection. Reflection is important so that I don't lose myself, the purpose I set out to do and my truth. The world can suck you in easily with so much going on these days especially the way my life can be a fast paced roller coaster. Sometimes, you just have to get off and just sit and take it all in. I have been doing this much more lately, that it's now becoming a habitual pattern that I could not be happier to have adopted. I do not know if it is age, but one thing is certain, I have prayed to get to a point where I would just stop, breathe, and just appreciate all that is around me now in the present moment. Asking my own self, how are you? This is a great question to ask ourselves daily. Think about it! When we first greet someone, we usually ask them how they are. Whether or not,  they tell you the real truth, it's still a proper question and a real question we should ask ourselves everyday. At least we can be truthful to ...
