Feeling Inspired

It's been a long time since I have had the real urge to write, but I knew one day, that it would arrive and it sure has. I do write a lot of my inspirational posts on Facebook and Instagram, but now it's time I use this website for all that it is required to do, inform those that want to read more about what I have to say, what drives me, and how all of this experience and wisdom that I have acquired can benefit you now. Currently, I have pushed off my regular show to work on my first art exhibition which is coming up in April, but have been proud of the success of the continuation of the show in what we created with the DJ Mix of the Week. When the talk show resumes, this will continue to air, so don't you worry. Lolo Knows Radio Show has some exciting new shows in the works coming up mid April including the Ultra Music Festival Wrap Up show. May is music month for Movement in Detroit. Interviews are being scheduled for this amazing event I look forward to experiencing with all of my friends and I will also be celebrating my 1 year anniversary with Ricky Spanish whose been my constant throughout all of this roller coaster ride we have been riding. I am so blessed to have such a man in my corner. I wouldn't want to be doing any of this without him. He was the missing piece to my puzzle and I see the big picture now and it's lovely.

Everybody has a Judas in their lives and sometimes several. Some are friends, but most are unfortunately in your own damn family. I can relate to Jesus. It's hurtful as shit. The reason this occurs is lack of real understanding and so many being so far in their own asses to ever even want to try to understand who you are and why you feel and think the way you do. It's fucked up, but that's what it is, but you know what you do have control over, how you respond or don't respond to the bullshit. You don't have to answer to things especially if they are coming at you as an attack because that's all you will get at the end of the day, your  feeling like you were nailed at the cross. So, don't say shit!!! Keep it moving. Sometimes saying nothing is everything.

Counting Friendship Blessings

I have had more than my fair share of ups and downs in the last year and I am sure there will be a few hiccups to overcome this year, but having the support and love from my kids and friends has been the most wonderful testimony because the ones that are currently by my side even in my darkest days, have shown me they were my true supporters.  We need to go through those downs at times to see that  and you better know I asked the Universe to reveal them and I was pleasantly surprised by it's answer. There were folks that came out the woodworks and have literally told me that I had inspired and gave them the determination to go after their life goals and dreams and that I was their strength when they were down. My jaw dropped to the ground and my eyes have been full of tears because although there has been a battle within my own self, God wanted me to know because of what I did for others, that those same ones would be there to be my strength and guide as well. Passion vs. Effort

I hear it all the time from people on what you need to succeed.   “Follow your passion”. Here is is why I have an issue with this advice.   Everyone is passionate about something and usually more than one thing.  We are born with it. There are always going to be things we love to do like music, art, knitting, cooking etc..  The list can go on. Those passions more than likely for most are not worth a nickel. Here's why?  Think about all the things you have been passionate about in your life. Think about all those passions that you considered making a career out of or wanted to build a company around.  How many were there? Why did you bounce from one to another? Why were you not able to make a career or business out of any of those passions ?  Or, if you have been able to have some success, what was the key to the success?  Was it the passion or the effort you put in to your job or company?  If you really want to know where your destiny lies, look at where you apply your time.
